Update!

I just wanted to let you know that I have been hearing from Todd - though our telephone connections are very poor. I can't really hear what he has to say, but I can say that he is safe.

I just read an article published by the Independent, which said that humanitarians are getting attacked and sometimes killed in Darfur, more and more often. Please pray that Todd and Tony are covered by the shield of the Almighty, surrounded by angels, and guarded with His peace.

As for the home front - totally chaotic couple of days; but, I thank all of you who came through for me. I have cut my hours back at work to only Saturdays. Tomorrow I was blessed to get four extra make-overs after I finish my hourly shift. Yay!

For the Fourth of July we took out a wagon (thanks Uncle Tom), and sold sodas and home-made cookies at the parade by my house. We made $120.00!!! Wow! Then we got to see fireworks, fireworks, and more fireworks. We went to my aunt's neighborhood, and all of the people there buy the huge illegal fireworks. Two hours of a constant barrage of huge, dangerous, and highly illegal fireworks. It was pretty fun stuff.

Today, Linda blessed us and took us all on a tour of a watermelon farm. We got to drive around on a cart pulled by a tractor, and see many fruits and vegetables at Tanaka farms in Irvine. They let the kids sample the fresh, just-picked food. Faith really liked that she was allowed to spit it out on the ground if she didn't like it.

I really miss Todd. I miss his prayers, his hugs, his scent, his calming nature.

I feel so bad for the people of the Darfur region. I am so limited in what I can say, but hundreds of thousands of homeless, hungry people...

Thanks for all your prayers! You guys are awesome - awesome, awesome, awesome!
